JOHNHOUSHMAND is a finalist in Inhabitat & Philips’ Bright Ideas Competition

· News · , ,

JOHNHOUSHMAND‘s Solar Powered Garden Candles were chosen as a finalist in the Bright Ideas Competition sponsored by Inhabitat and Philips.

From the website:

In order to showcase the vast potential of LED lighting, green design website Inhabitat teamed up with lighting brand Philips to launch the first ever Bright Ideas Lighting Design Competition in May 2011. We asked designers to submit stellar examples of inspiring eco-friendly lamps that make smart use of materials and are designed to work with low-energy LED replacement bulbs like Philips’ AmbientLED. Our panel of expert judges selected 40 luminous finalists based upon aesthetics, creativity, sustainability, practicality, and commercial viability.

We were honored to be numbered among the finalists which included such ‘luminaries’ as Carolyn Joan Lau, Ed Chew, Gilles Eichenbaum, and Pierre Ospina.

Thanks Inhabitat!
